Born of an inquiry into the diasporic Arabic community that raised her, Justine Youssef's practice uses methods of auto-ethnography to conjure and probe the structures that shape her experience. Her practice ranges from site-specific installations to scent, video, drawing and performance. She lives in Western Sydney on Darug land and is currently taking her Master of Fine Art at the National Art School on Eora Nation. She is complicit in benefitting from these lands and pays her respect to their traditional custodians past and present.
